A presentation isn't a PowerPoint slideshow. The presentation is the speech made by the presenter. And PowerPoint is just a tool that emphasizes or makes clearer the ideas expressed in the presentation. Therefore on a PowerPoint slide there shouldn't be many words, because PowerPoint slideshows aren't supposed to be read, but shown.
