On My Way To Austin for SXSWi

I am at George W. Bush airport in Houston, Texas waiting for my last leg to Austin where I’ll be attending the South by Southwest Interactive Festival. The conference has an unreal number of ways to stay connected to what is going on there: the SXSW Twitter group gives me text-message alerts on my cell phone (or instant messenger); the Austin Barcamp Mozes group also connects to my cell phone (or e-mail); I am subscribed to the SXSWi community blog ; I’m using the SXSW web calendar which creates a feed that I subscribed to in my 30boxes calendar (my web calendar of choice); I am attending many of the events for SXSW listed on upcoming.org and I also subscribed to that on my 30boxes calendar (again so I have to look one less place for stuff);

I am overwhelmed already and I haven’t even got to Austin! Information overload to say the least. The South by Southwest Mini Survial Guide is a good article on how not to fall apart when you’re down there. I plan to follow it closely.

Alex and I will be trying to do daily live webcasts while I am at South by Southwest so stay tuned to the 21st Century Learning schedule at EdTechTalk.

More to come soon, my flight it boarding.
